There are many benefits to attending Birding Festivals. Louisiana birding festivals are for all ages and levels of birders for locals and visitors. For the beginners, a festival is a great starting point in learning basic birding identification, learning habitats, using equipment, etc. More experienced birder will learn the area, hot spots and make new friends of all birding levels.
Since festival’s local guides know the area, there’s a better chance of seeing more bird species in a shorter time.
Supporting festivals, participants become aware of supporting conservation efforts. Local businesses and individuals discover the financial incentive for protecting wild birds and their habitats. Through collection of local taxes, these events generate funds to reinvest in local habitat conservation and education programs.
